Over a year since my last post!

Oh my goodness! I did not realize it had been so long since my last post. Well, not only am I 34 now, but I am also PREGGERS! I chuckled as I read my post about "fearing the birth of a little girl". Right now, I just want a healthy baby. I am due on my birthday (Aug 1st by scheduling) - due on August 2 by calculating the actual 40 weeks.

My husband and I are happy...surviving and thriving through the ups and downs of marriage and parenthhood. We are both excited about our newest (and final) addition to the family. He wants a boy...I'll take anything. :)

My sister-in-law just had a boy, January 5th. I'm so happy for her...hopefully, he will be the doting child she desires. As we all know, toddlers are a trying bunch - good luck Domi!

Oh well...let me run...I just wanted to post!

33!

Today is my 33rd birthday and what is normally a HOLIDAY has transformed into a day of tranquility. Normally, I shout it from the rooftops and take the day off. This time, I came to work and did not publicize it to my peers. Why? Well, I am definitely PROUD of my age! However, the bonds of closeness I have with my co-workers are that of work, not personal friendships. I find that my professional side has kicked in and I am 'grown'.

Now, my sweetie pie presented me with my gift at midnight - GOSH I LOVE HIM! Unfortunately, my old tired self was so disoriented, I took my gift and asked to open it in the morning. He was disappointed and I did not even notice...isn't he the best?! Well, I opened it this morning - a new digital CAMERA! Okay - did I say I LOVE HIM? WELL, I DO...

I have to put my friends on blast until I check every email and check my voicemail! My day is supposed to be a national Holiday...and yet, I only heard from my future in laws, my parents, my sister, fiancee and one sister in law to be. One colleague on his own wished me a happy birthday and two other colleagues wished me well - AFTER I told them. But one then took me to lunch, so she's forgiven - plus she met my mom and my mom LOVES her.

My darling son gave me sugar this morning...what more could I ask for? My men love me...and I love them both sooooooooooooooooo very much. I fear my next child will be a girl because I want another man added to my clan. Then I'll really be Queen B...ahem, Queen V.

This writing out my thoughts is good therapy. I wished I had purchased stock!

Changed my mind

Initially, I was going to use this blog to host my wedding stuff and share with the bridal party. I've changed my mind. I'm going to use this medium to VENT over my wedding planning process and how little things can be blown up FOR NOTHING. I go back to my original words of advice - that my fiance found to be rude: opinions are like assholes - everyone has one!

I have chosen the color hunter green for my bridal party and I am getting married in March - what the hell is wrong with that?!! People have the ordacity to be complaining about it - asking for a lighter shade. Dare I tell half of them the truth that "light colors do not look good on everyone!" By wearing a dark shade, you stand half a chance of looking decent in the pictures!

The people that I have standing up for me have joked about looking like trees - well DAMN! Thanks a lot...but you see - it's my day...PERIOD. You will look like landscaping...period.

Thanks for listening y'all...

March 17th, 2007

My wedding date...233 days away. I'll be marrying the love of my life. Scary isn't it? I'll be the age of Jesus next week...and proud of it! Where I'm from, not many of us are around to appreciate the opportunity of living. Thank you Lord for allowing me to live this long and to find happiness in this sinful world.

Anyhoo...I've decided to utilize my blog as a place for featuring some of my wedding ideas! All suggestions are welcome of course... I promise to not take offense if your taste differs from mine...for those in my bridal party, please don't take offense if I don't take heed to your advice. All I ask is that my wishes are honored and respected as the Bride. I hate to sound so self-centered, but it feels so good to say "I'm the BRIDE!".

*Again - note my concern for others! I swear, I must be schizophrenic...on one end, I look out for others; on the other, I'm like 'what about me?'*

From time to time, I figure I'll put my alter-ego comments in green italicized Times New Roman. This will denote when my 'other self' speaks...hahaha Sounds confusing, but you'll get the hang of it.

Well...as aforementioned, I'll be plugging in my ideas for my upcoming nuptials and I welcome your feedback!

The darn design...

Who would have thought that just picking what "looks like me" would be so hard?!! Why is making a long term decision so difficult for me to do? I wonder about that because I always seem to take a long time to make up my mind. Do I care that much about what others think? And if I do, why? If I like something, that's all that should matter, right?

Well...isn't that selfish? Who decides what's right or wrong? Me or my listening (reading) public?

Ugh...the agony of being a writer...my saga begins...

My first post!

Okay...after much debate, I've given in to the lastest craze of 'blogging'. Is that even a term? Anyhoo...this is interesting. Exposing my inner thoughts to not only those who know me, but even to those who don't...wow. Shoot, I should have used a different name - hahaha Then you'd here the REAL me...hahaha just kidding... I promise to be as honest as possible. After all - these are my thoughts...my chronicles...my life preserved in the technological world of the web...my on line diary...

Welcome to my world...
